George B. Buck Sr. opened an actuarial consulting business in New York City in 1916. From our modest beginning with two employees, Buck Consultants has developed into a full-service human resources consulting firm with more than 1,500 employees and affiliates in nearly 200 global locations.
Historically, Buck has enjoyed a reputation for innovation in the delivery of HR programs and services and has been recognized for a commitment to excellence. In 1999, Pensions & Investments magazine honored George Buck as one of its “Men of the Century.” He was cited for pioneering the application of sound actuarial principles to retirement plans. In addition, the award recognized Buck as the first consulting firm to specialize in the establishment and valuation of pension plans.
Building on this legacy of success, today Buck’s core values remain unwavering: client satisfaction, commitment to innovation, and consistently demonstrating the highest professional standards. Over the years, we’ve enjoyed some notable “firsts”:
We’re proud of our accomplishments and are appreciative of the client relationships that are the mainstay of our success.
