Why Buck
After nearly 100 years, we've remained true to our core values: innovation, unparalleled client satisfaction, and the highest professional standards.
We're known for bringing innovative ideas to our clients to help them solve pressing business challenges. We developed the first Global Employee Stock Ownership Plan (GESOP), a first-of-its-kind severance solution, and the first fully integrated Health Savings Account (HSA) — all industry-leading solutions. To demonstrate our ongoing commitment, we formed the Innovation and Thought Leadership Council, an internal think tank designed to continue to grow new and exciting solutions for our clients.
We're also taking steps as a firm to help make the world a little more environmentally friendly. We're implementing energy-saving practices in each of our offices, making alternatives to plastic-ware and Styrofoam available to our employees, encouraging (and in some cases — mandating) double-sided printing, and purchasing recycled paper. We're encouraging telecommuting where it makes sense. And we're helping our clients introduce green practices into their total rewards programs, by selecting 401(k) funds that invest in environmentally-conscious companies and designing benefit plans that reward employees for making greener choices.
Our people make the difference
Having the opportunity to work on challenging and rewarding projects is an important factor in any career, but it's only one piece of the puzzle. The people you work with also make a difference in your job satisfaction and career progression — they serve as mentors, role models, and trusted sources who can help you take your ideas to the next level, and they single-handedly develop and maintain collaborative and creative work environments.
At Buck, you'll be surrounded by people who not only excel at their jobs, but genuinely enjoy what they're doing. And it shows. You'll be working with a diverse group of people who bring a wide range of perspectives. Conversations in the office can quickly become thought-provoking discussions, and these impromptu sessions are often where the best solutions are developed.
We're smart, approachable people who are easy to work with. We're known for the creative and innovative solutions we've developed for our clients. And our people are not only recognized in the office — they're also known for their contributions to the communities in which they live and work. Not surprisingly, one of the most compelling reasons why people stay at Buck — sometimes for their entire careers — is because of our people.
